Delmia's Quest and UltraSpot have contributed significantly to Sanyo Machine Works' objectives of shortening design validation time and improving system quality
Sanyo Machine Works decided to adopt Delmia systems to replace in-house 2D and 3D simulation software. The decision has resulted in tremendous efficiencies in manpower, costs and overall productivity. 'Our clients include many of the world's leading automotive manufacturers who demand increased quality, decreased lead time and reduced costs,' explained Keita Horiba, Director of Sanyo Machine Works.

'Today customers insist that line builders not only deliver a production system, but also submit simulation data and results in a virtual environment.
Delmia has given Sanyo an edge, as we are now able to present our proposals using the latest simulation technology.' Sanyo is deploying Delmia software to check for collisions of robots and welding guns, validate tact time, and simulate an entire line prior to building the actual production line systems ordered by its clients.
In this way, Sanyo is able to present system proposals to its clients from the beginning of the concept stage.
By installing Delmia in the company HQ in Aichi Prefecture, Japan, as well as at its subsidiaries, Sanyo Machine America Corp.
and Sanyo Canadian Machine Works, Sanyo has created a collaborative, advanced engineering environment for world-wide operations.
In addition, the products' easy customisation capability via Delmia's Graphical Simulation Language and the fact that Delmia is used by most of the global automotive manufacturers, were both key factors in Sanyo Machine Works' choice of Delmia.
